First Aid & CPR France
In France, knowing how to act in an emergency is a condition for working with very young children. For childminders, the Social Action and Families Code (art. D. 421-46) and the order of 5 November 2018 require the PSC1 civic first-aid unit — roughly 7 hours — as a condition for renewing their approval (agrément). In group nurseries (EAJE), at least one first-aid-trained person must be present, and PSC1 is embedded in the early-childhood assistant (CAP) diploma.
Anafilaxia e administração de medicamentos
A child with allergies is welcomed under an Individual Care Plan (PAI), standardised nationally by the circular of 10 February 2021. The facility keeps an immediately accessible emergency kit holding the child's prescribed adrenaline auto-injector, which any staff member — including non-medical ones — may administer by following the doctor's written instructions and the parents' agreement. In anaphylaxis, that few-seconds response makes all the difference.
When a child chokes, has a seizure or suffers a severe allergic reaction, it's the first minutes that count — and they fall to whoever is present, not to the help arriving afterwards. A recognised, standards-based certification gives your team the right reflexes and reassures the families who entrust you with what they hold most dear. Training isn't only about meeting an approval requirement: it's about being ready the day everything is at stake.
